Paul D McKee joins the show to chat about Art, Sculpture, and of course Tieton. We start the episode talking about Tieton that magical place in Central Washington that so many of our guests seem to be involved with in some manner. Paul's story about Tieton is great! We talk about the mechanics of how a non-profit art gallery can survive in our current world. Paul talks about how METHOD Gallery came into existence and how it is able to navigate the ever-changing currents of fund raising. We learn that METHOD focuses on artistic processes and is a mode for gathering diverse artists together and offering them a means to exhibit their work to the public in a professional gallery setting. METHOD is a conduit for reciprocity and exchange, for developing relationships with other artists and organizations, locally, nationally, and internationally. Exhibiting artists are NEVER charged exhibition or operational fees and are provided the space free of charge. In addition to METHOD Gallery Paul runs Project 106. The space is approximately 4,000 sq ft and is home to seven studios including METHOD Gallery. Project-106 is open each first Thursday of the month for the Pioneer Square Art Walk from 5:00-9:00pm (individual open studio times may vary). Paul is a busy guy and you can find out more about him at his personal site here.If you are a fan of art or if you love Seattle or Tieton this is an episode you will want to listen to.Paul was a lot of fun to chat with and you will enjoy finding out more about him in this episode.
